The Accounting department is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk who possesses strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Post payments, credits, and adjustments received daily
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondences, including email and faxes, to clients and customers
  • Process remote deposits
  • Post daily journal entries to the general ledger
  • Create and check client cash reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Track creation of client statements and remittances
  • Review assignment files for accuracy
  • Answer phones to collect information to process payments
  • Assist with month end close by posting payments, running reports, and checking for variances
  • Assist compliance department with licensing and legal requests
  • Support Controller and Senior Accountant with special projects

Skills:

  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel and willingness to learn intermediate tasks
  • Analytical skills required to identify and resolve problems efficiently
  • Degree not required

The Accounting Department is seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant/File Clerk that is detail oriented and well-organized.  Flexible work hours, 3-4 hours a day/3-5 days a week.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Assist with posting payments and other transactions.
  • File documents and maintain file cabinet organization.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondences, including email and faxes, to clients and customers.
  • Assist with reviewing documents for accuracy.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support.
  • Assist Controller and Senior Accountant with special projects.
  • Assist Compliance department with licensing and legal requests.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to effectively handle daily responsibilities in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High school diploma/GED, college level courses in accounting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job Requirements:

Answer incoming telephone calls; determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieve messages from voice mails and forward to the appropriate personnel.  Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.  Answer questions about our organization and provide callers with the address, directions, and other information.  Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.  Monitor visitor access and issues passes when required.  Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
